Egypt Air Travel Delays And Suspensions: Delta Airlines, Egypt Air Suspend And Cancel Flights To Egypt

It looks like air travel to and from Egypt will be more difficult at least for travelers on Delta Airlines.

Delta Airlines said it would suspending air travel in-and-out of Egypt until further notice.

The Associated Press is reporting that Egypt Air is also suspending flights due to the protests and unrest in Egypt.

The company said its flights from abroad will be able to land, but departures were canceled from 9 p.m.

Separately, a Cairo Airport official said a number of international airlines had canceled flights to the capital, at least overnight. The official was not authorized to speak to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity.

That is really frustrating for tourists who cannot leave the country.

My girlfriend was booked on an Egypt Air flight from Luxor tomorrow morning. Now cancelled.Luckily have found space on Easyjet flight tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed they do they right thing and bring her back to me.
