Eleven die in ghastly road accident in Indian state

Guntur: At least eleven persons were killed in a road accident in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening. The deceased included four women. Police said the accident occurred when a public transport bus was hit by a speeding lorry coming in the opposite direction. More than 25 passengers of the bus were injured in the accident which occurred on the National Highway 5 at Eedurupalem village. The condition of several of the injured is stated to be serious. According to the police, the front tire of the lorry has burst at high speed and it hit a road divider and hit the bus which over turned due to the impact.
