Sunday, September 07, 2008 Elisabeth Hasselbeck Slams Michelle ObamaI occasionally watch The View (they talk politics) and Elisabeth is about as conservative as you get, and I typically respect, or at least try to understand, her opinion, but this is low, low, low. It looks like she tried to channel Ms. Mooseburger. Good luck with that job at The View Elisabeth. Send an email here to the show's producers. I'd like to know what she was trying to suggest: that Michelle Obama is a secret Muslim terrorist? What is Michelle Obama trying to hide?

She complimented Cindy McCain for not dictating a list of topics that were off limits.
In defense of Michelle Obama, she may have been equally open (without list) to a reporter that was more of her own ideology. It’s a stretch for you to suggest Hasselbeck was implying a connection to terrorists. It could easily have been that she didn’t want to be asked about her college thesis on the racial divide. It could have actually been, don't ask me about connections to terrorists, not because there are any, but because she does not want to entertain the question. Who knows. If it were Sarah Palin, she could have easily said, don’t ask me about my pregnant daughter. I doubt it’s that unusual to get an off limits list. I just don’t see that it’s a big deal.at 07:40 on September 9th, 2008

Mrs. Obama is a great<a href='http://rawdawgb.blogspot.com/2008/09/take-note.html'>role model</a> for all American, especially women

I think in light of MO's rude and crude comments about Americans and whites plus her theist is more then enough to know she would not make for a good first lady. I think it is a huge issue being ignored by mainstream media.

Yeah, kind of like McCain's cooperation with his North Vietnamese captors.

Why do we allow not verified or anonymous members to comment?

Not verified and anonymous folks are people too . . . just scared ones.

Why are they scared?

Never watch the show. From the little I've heard, it is an embassassment to women. I wouldn't take any comments by anyone of the hosts seriously.

I do not believe Elisabeth's job will be in jeopardy. Bill is a Republican and often let those kind of things go.
It is just sad to me that too often Republicans decide that they should dictate who is Patriotic, who is moral etc. yet they do it in a real underhanded way and the reasonable Republicans don't call them on it.
As far as McCain cooperation with the North Vietnamese, I was glad that he at least admitted it (though it has been knowledge) that he did break and provide information to the Vietnamese.
