Eliza Samudio, Bruno Souza's Ex Was Fed to Dogs Say Police
Brazilian Police Report That Eliza Samudio, Football Star Bruno Fernandes de Souza's Ex-Girlfriend Was Strangled Then Parts of Her Were Fed to Dogs
Bruno Souza was reported as missing after an arrest warrant was issued for him and his friend Luiz Henrique Ferrera Romao in the case of Bruno's ex-girlfriend Eliza Samudio. He has since handed himself in to police but maintains that he has nothing to do with Samudio's disappearance. Former police detective Luiz Aparecido Santos is also a suspect.
Bruno's teenage cousin has given evidence against them, saying that Bruno and Romao had kidnapped Samudio and driven her to Bruno's house.
According to the BBC, police have now stated that Samudio, who has been missing for over a month, was taken against her will in Rio de Janeiro and strangled in Belo Horizonte.
They say her body was cut up and parts were fed to dogs, while the rest was buried under concrete.
Police are still searching for her remains, but say her death is "materially proven".
Rio de Janeiro's Flamengo team have suspended Bruno's contract and he now has to provide his own lawyer. All three suspects have refused to give a DNA sample in this case on Friday, when they were taken from prison to police headquarters in Belo Horizonte. They have not been legally forced to do so at this time.
Police are continuing to search at a house owned by Souza in Belo Horizonte and although police say they have enough evidence to charge the three suspects with kidnapping, assassination and hiding of a body they do not have enough to charge them with murder.

May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family. That poor child will grow up not knowing it's mother. This is very sad. As for Bruno Souza, so many people looked up to him. It's disgusting that someone would do something like this to an innocent human being. I hope he gets what he deserves and enjoys his time in prison.
