Saksi: Alec Baldwin blacklisted in the Philippine despite apology

Alec Baldwin made a joke and the Government of the Philippines reacted by blacklisting him. It was about mail order brides. Alec’s joke is obviously banded about in his society.  By such quick response the Philippines showed its sensitivity to something that has in fact got some truth attached. In this modern some time nasty seedy world of ours the reality is sometimes a factor that is hidden by some authorities as it looks bad on a nation’s profile.

There are many dating sites where elderly men in the west such as Alec can find young brides. Russia mention by Alex is one of them, and then of course the Philippines has many young women seeking foreign husbands.

One only has to go in the Malls in the cities to see young women walking hand in hand with an elderly gentleman. I myself am 62 and have a partner who is 27 and I have many friends in the city around about my age, some with wives much younger.

Many of these marriages are arranged by email, I have been invited to marriages here in the Philippines that have been arranged by email. Filipina’s do make good partners however many foreigners make bad husbands.

One of my female friends met a good guy online and obtained a job with his help in the States and they got married six months ago. Perhaps if Alex quoted an email bride he would of got away with his joke, however I suspect that that would not be the case.

I myself in fact just came to retire here in the Philippines and did not attempt in finding a partner on line. I met my partner on a beautiful beach.

Email order, its something I disagree with and in a way I can understand the Government here’s reactions to Alec Baldwin joke as it belittles the worth of a Filipina of which in my opinion no weight of gold can buy.  My advice to young girls here is to find a Filipino partner as the type of foreigners that are after young wife are some what risky.

Many do not past muster of being a good husband. Its poverty that creates the need for young girls to seek a partner on line. But the reality is that if Alex wants an email bride he can obtain one within days.

My Filipino partner ask me to write this article as she thinks that Alex joke was okay as she has had friends that have been email order brides. It's reality and the truth.

I agree, sometimes reality sucks, but "it's reality and the truth."

Alec Baldwin is just stereotyping. If for some it maybe true, then, i guess, there is nothing wrong with them, as long as they compliment each other and they follow God's order to keep the marriage holy, then, WHY NOT ORDER A FILIPINA BRIDE NOW? Yes, they make good wives.  We just pray they that God bring them good husbands as well.  Its a dangerous world out there and the hardest thing to find in life is a spouse.

It is found here.

Baldwin, 51, who is divorced with a teenage daughter, said in a May 12 interview on "The Late Show" with David Letterman that he would love to have more children.

The Emmy-winning actor quipped that he was "thinking about getting a Filipino mail-order bride at this point ... or a Russian one."

Baldwin has been involved in a bitter dispute with his ex-wife, Oscar-winning actress Kim Basinger, over custody of their 13-year-old daughter, Ireland.

Interesting we haven't heard anything from Russia.... But I guess it is illegal in the Philippines.. hence the uproar.

Strange since this article has been  published that the videos concerning the Philippines and Alex have been removed by the owners. Got to be a coincidence, however my argument was not really based on the video's but to the fact that mail order has now changed to email order and that it exists.

"elderly men in the west such as Alec"!!

I would say that Alec Baldwin was middle-aged and not elderly.

Perhaps I should of used the older man, lol

When does middle age end?  In reality middle age is the halfway point to the average life span around about 40 at a guess, lol. When I past the 50 year point I felt very old, but saying I was middle age helped a lot with my macho prestige, lol. When I past the 60 spot I could no longer lean on the staff and statement that I am middle aged.

Alex is no spring chicken, lol

Babel Fish, sometimes you can still find the videos at YouTube that have been removed by doing a new search.

Guess so but I am not really concerned at making the video's a focus point its the factor that mail order has become email order.

I am not very happy with YouTube in more ways than one, possibly their system has become a headache in management and moderation due to its popularity.

Filipino woman are very good people, and I hate to see them taken advantage of.

Most Filipina's are good people and of course Russian women and yes they are being exploited as many others are mostly in the third world, something that makes my blood boil.
