New Developments in 'Survivor' Case

Two weeks ago, Monica Beresford-Redman was found strangled in Cancun, Mexico after her husband, Bruce Beresford-Redman, a "Survivor" TV producer said that she went shopping for the day. Family members are upset because the trip was a last minute change by Monica's husband.

"Mr. Beresford-Redman insisted that they change their planned destination and go to Cancun a few days before they left on vacation."

New information discovered after he was released from Cancun were in the content of emails found by investigators. Emails were sent by Mr. Beresford-Redman to Joy Pierce, his mistress. These letters were long, drawn out and very pointed. Mr. Beresford- Redman wrote, "I am not proud of what I have done, I am a liar and I want to put my marriage back together."

Evidently, the wife was also, corresponding with the mistress lover; a co-worker and casting director to the producer who worked in Hollywood with him for quite a while. Monica told the mistress everything about her husband's infidelity and tried to gain the mistress as her confidante.

It is unclear what type of relationship the wife and the mistress had, even though, she knew what was going on between her husband and Joy, it did not seem that she blamed the mistress in the recently publicized emails.

His mistress refused to have anymore to do with either person, wife or husband by her responses to Monica's email. Pierce sent back an email to Mrs. Beresford-Redman stating, "I am no longer involved in this situation, please leave me alone."

Authorities are now using the emails in this court case to coordinate a motive between the husband and the mistress.

A life insurance policy found by investigators on his wife, Monica was taken out just three months before her murder in Cancun and this looks very suspicious to authorities. All evidence points to a guilty family member in the murder of this US woman.

Mr. Beresford-Redman was released by Cancun authorities because there was a lack of evidence. He returned to the US April 16, 2010. He was released even though, he is the sole suspect in the murder of his wife.
