Empty Chair Charlie Crist?

Before the people can ask who is Charlie Crist, the answer is that he is the current Governor of Florida [2007-Present] and has been mentioned as a possible running mate with John Mc Cain. Charlie Crist once told his Democratic Opponent during the 2006 Elections the following sentence: "You cannot govern from an empty chair". Certain Floridians including those within the Democratic Party have decided to do a study on Charlie Crist's Activities since the beginning of 2008 and have called him "Empty Chair Charlie".

Since we are dealing with an elected official, I visited the webiste of "Empty Chair Charlie" at

http://www.emptychaircharlie.com/page/speakout/emptychair/?js=true&zip=33135 as well as the webpage of the Democratic Party of Florida http://www.fladems.com/page/content/ecc-calendar/

to investigate further.

According to the Governor's Public Schedule, Crist "took off more week days than he  worked and worked less than 50% of the time".

This was the report as presented by the above mentioned websites [The Democratic Party of Florida Website and the Empty Chair Charlie Website]:

Of 30 Working Days and 44 Total Days including Weekends and Holidays;

1. There were 14.5 total working days in which Crist was present at work.

2. There were 15.25 total days that Crist worked.

3. 15.5 days in which Crist did not actually show for work

The total was 48.3 % of the time in which Crist was actually working, 51.7% [of the time] in which Crist did not go to work [during a work day], and 66.3% [of the time] in which Crist did not work during the total days.

There is also a flight schedule at http://www.fladems.com/page/content/ecc-flights/

for those who are interested.

I have no motive except to present the news as it appears. It is the same way I felt when reporting about the Spitzer Affair. Please feel free to visit the above mentioned pages and feel free to express an opinion or add anything.
