Poverty in America can be eliminated immediately when We the People demand it. We have the capacity and must make it a priority. Everyone deserves a good life in America because we can afford it.

"Start with the premise that America has the capacity to eliminate poverty. That should be the starting position of American people and their government because we do.

The U.S. Constitution begins with the notion that all people are created equal and that we all have an equal right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness. Those rights were interpreted differently in the beginning of the nation based on the relative immaturity of a pioneering and developing nation. Today, we are still pioneering and developing and working hard to sustain a good life for everyone.

We are very aware that while we are all born equal under the law, some Americans are born into households with greater wealth and advantage than others. For the children, that means economic inequality, advantage, or disadvantage.

Americans need to be vigilant to ensure that the parents of children and families are given sufficient assistance to ensure that they are not below the poverty line such that they have sufficient resources to find work and to pursue personal development. Most important is to monitor and assist families to prevent perpetuation of their plight."
