Eric Bellucci Fled to Israel: Wanted For Murder of His Parents
Eric Bellucci Reportedly Boarded a Plane for Israel Just Hours After Killing His Parents
The Staten Island Advance reports that Eric Bellucci boarded an El Al Airlines flight from Newark Liberty Airport on Wednesday and is now being hunted in Israel, after his parents were found stabbed to death in their Annadale home.
He is the only suspect in the murder of his mother Marian Bellucci, 56, and his father Arthur Bellucci, 61. The couple were found dead when their daughter Vanessa went over to the house to check on them at around 8:30pm. She knew that her mother did not show up for work that day and she was concerned.
Vanessa, 25, no longer lived with her parents and Eric, because she apparently thought he was schizophrenic; she now lives with her uncle and his wife. According to the SIA, Arthur Bellucci had turned in his guns to police a few weeks earlier because he was concerned his son might use them.
On Feb, 10, 2008, Eric Bellucci was taken to Bayley Seton after he allegedly wrote a suicide note, sources said. He later claimed he didn't write the note. And on August 9, 2009, he was taken by police to Staten Island University Hospital South for a psychological evaluation.
NY1 reports that about one week ago, family friends say Eric had an argument with his parents and left their house. His mother was afraid to call the cops but she was worried about him. They did try to get Eric help but he refused, and they reports that Vanessa moved out because she started law school and not because she was afraid of Eric.
He is listed to be the chief executive officer of a nursing home called CareMates Inc; his mother is listed as president and Vanessa vice-president.
Police are working with the Israeli authorities to find him.
