The Catholic priest says the Eritreans are forced to telephone their families and ask them to pay ransoms of up to $10,000. He also told the BBC that two Eritreans died under torture in recent days and his appeals for actions by the Egyptian authority has gone unheeded.

This has been going on for years in Egypt. Any Black African be they Muslim or Christian are treated like slaves and abused terribly. That is often the reason they try to get ti Israel. They are free here to work, live and create opportunity even though it is not easy for them for a variety of reasons.
