DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE - INTO ANOTHER WORLD


Her father was a French expatriot residing in The United States. I met him in Houston Texas April 1997. I had just ended a relationship and was feeling lonely. Rebound relationships are like a big cushion, they give the short term protection needed after a significant relationship has ended.

When he found out I was pregnant he was very upset and wanted me to have an abortion, he went so far as to contact friends in France to obtain RU486, illegal at that time in the U.S. I do not blame the man for not wanting to have a child with a woman he knew only a few months, any man in his shoes would feel the same way. Nor do I have a problem with abortion on moral grounds, a womans body is her possession. At the time I was only twenty-two years old, young and did not comprehend exactly what I was getting myself into. I felt very strongly that abortion was something I could not do, it felt like a wrong decision and I am glad that I trusted this feelng. What made this guy different however, was that he threateded to put RU486 in my food if I did not take it willingly. As the pregnancy progressed into the third month, I began to notice his behavior became more obsessive, verbally abusive and bizzare.

He quit his job in Houston quite impulsively because he did not like the manager of the restaurant, in fact, he simply did not show up at all. I was very upset about that decison because when you have a pregnant girlfriend at home, you just dont up and quit your job. It was a very irresponsible thing to do. I never told him what I thought because he had already shown his true colors. The man would follow me around the apartment screaming at me for not washing a dish, sleeping too much, or wearing a pair of shoes he did not like. Although he pushed me only one time, the abuse was mostly verbal.

We moved from Houston to Northern Virginia because his former employer offered him a job in Washington DC. We lived with one of his friends Saeed, a sleazy guy with a filthy apartment and under investigation for immigration fraud.Saeed testified for my Ex, he was such a liar that if he was Pinocchio his nose would have jumped off his face and ran out the Court Room. After Wiggins believed my Ex's lies, Saeed fled the Washington DC area as he was being investigated by his employer for fraud. ( he booked parties and pocketed the cash ). My ex's friends were nothing short of criminals. 

The Breaking Point

In 1999, I was a stay at home mom living under unbearable circumstances. The verbal abuse was so overwhelming that I became a shadow of my former self, this man would call me the most disgusting, sexist, demeaning names imaginable. When I would break down in tears, he would smile, and laugh. His greatest pleasure was seeing that he had the power to control anothers feelings, if he had the power to reduce me to tears, he would experience great pleasure. In the beginning I foolishly thought I had to stay for my baby and that she needed her father - big mistake.

Finally, I was at the breaking point. I had it with his guy, I could not take the screaming anymore. Whom ever cast Linda Blare in The Exorcist 1972 never knew my ex, that voice would send chills down my spine. My family sent me money to come home, he saw the checks in the mail and realized I was on the way out. So he decided he wanted to beat me to the punch and leave first...taking my daughter with him.

He took my daughter one morning to buy 'shoes', three hours later I was served with papers. He filed an 'Emergency Petition for Temporary Custody,' claiming I was mentally unstable, suicidal, immoral, and had physically assaulted him. I had three days to obtain an attorney.

I was a stay at home mother with no money, big mistake number two. Attornies require anywhere from $12,000 to $20,000 for an entire trial from beginning to end. At the time he had the money to pay. If he did not pay the money in legal expenses he would have paid it in child support....so what the hell right? He hired an intelligent, competent yet highly unethical attorney. I had legal aide...what more needs to be said.

The Nightmare Begins

Although I had 7 professional witnesses testify, the guardian ad litem favored join custody.....Esther Wiggins-Lyles of the Arlington Juvenile Court..(room 4B) awarded him sole custody.

Wiggins said all professional witnesses were biased because they did not have anything negative to say about me. She called me every name in the book: immoral, mentally unstable, untruthful etc.. (the most important fact to know is that in my early 20's I worked as an exotic dancer to pay my way through college, Wiggins, the religious-hypocrite type hated me for it..)

But, since there was overwhelming evidence that I was a good parent and only strings on my ex's part, she had to invent some reasons to give him custody and punish me for violating Gods moral laws. She acheived this goal by saying I harmed my daughter by exposing her to an infant stimulation cartoon 'Baby Einstein ' ....according to Wiggins "normal parents do not expose babies to foreign languages". Please not that she did not even watch the cartoon during the trial: so she made a judgement about something without even viewing it.

She said I was immoral for working as a dancer...(note: they accidentally on purpose did not tell me that there is no court reporter until after the fact, so they were very careful about what they put in writing). Even though I met her father at the club where I worked.

I ALWAYS TOLD ESTHER WIGGINS THE TRUTH

I told the Esther Wiggins very clearly that the father never wanted our daughter, did not spend any time with her, worked 50 plus hours per week, and would rely on other people to raise her. He subjected me to horrific verbal abuse, I would have to sleep on the bathroom floor just to escape that voice screaming at me. He would hold me down on the floor and spit on me, humiliate me in public by screaming at people for any minor infraction: for example he would scream at a waitress because his steak was not cooked.... just right. He would screaming at someone for taking his parking spot...he screamed at me if I left a book on the floor.. 

Esther Wiggins said, "Okay, he is verbally abusive. But it is just a cultural misunderstanding and the mother is just sensitive." Normal women, according to women are not offended when men follow them around the apartment screaming ..."Naomi, you are a fucking fat, ugly, disgusting, bitch, slut, whore, prostitute, pig! Naomi - you are an ugly pig! Naomi - you are disgusting! Naomi - you are a fat, ugly pute!"

Esther Wiggins ( a woman who does not even speak French fluently) said that it was all cultural. Apparently, French women are perfectly content allowing a man to spit on them, call them dirty whores and what not. 

I lived in France nearly a year - this abuse is NOT a cultural norm. French people are not cool with that kind of behavior. But debunking the Red Queens lunacy is fairly simply. It is a simply matter of asking oneself some basic epistemological questions. 

•  Has Esther Wiggins ever lived in France?
  
• Does she speak the language?
  
• Did she have any expert witnesses to tell her that the verbal abuse was a cultural norm?
  
• How does she know the verbal abuse is 'cultural'? Where does she get her knowledge from?
  

It does not take a genius to realize that Esther Wiggins pulled that 'cultural misunderstanding' stuff right out of her ass. She wanted to punish me for having worked as dancer. If it means slapping 66 million French citizens in the face, if it means making a stereotype of French people - then so be it. She will do and say anything to get away with her shenanigans. 

The entire purpose behind my Ex's 'Emergency Petition for Custody,' allegedly was that I tried to kill myself multiple times over a two year period. In short - it was all a lie concocted by my ex, among many of the lies I can prove he told Wiggins. He gave three different stories - the went like this ....

• Testimony - he testified I tried to slit my wrists once in Texas and three times in Virginia
  
• Psychiatric Evaluation -He told the psychiatrist I tried to slit my wrists only twice in two years.
  
• Interrogatories - he claimed I tried to slit my wrists twice in Texas and twice in Virginia.

 Hence: three different stories. Most reasonably prudent people would stop and say, "Gosh, there are three different stories. Something about that seems a little odd. Who would confuse something like that?" But remember, we fell down the Rabbit hole. We are in a world where caterpillars smoke hashish on a mushroom. We are in a world where animals can talk. We are in a world where flowers can sing. We are in a world where Esther Wiggins seeks out to do what ever her whims desire. Where all logic, rationality and even common sense do not exist.

Here is more evidence that the man was lying.

• No hospitalizations for suicide attempts
  
• No 911 calls
  
• Two psychiatric evaluations in my favor
  
• No scars on my wrists
  
• None of our friends - including his friends - even heard about these suicide attempts until after he disappeared with my daughter. No one -  not in two years.
  

When you look at all that, I would like you to just remember on thing. One of the greatest intellectuals, Carl Sagan once wrote:  "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"

I would like to advise all people that anyone can make any allegation. When you walk into a court room you are not there to prove your innocence. The other party is there to prove your guilt. The burden of proof always rests with the person making the claim. My ex did not present One Single piece of concrete evidence proving that I was suicidal - not one. If Wiggins does not like what I have to say - then I challenge her to prove that his claims were true. PROVE IT!

So here is how this deranged psychopath determined I was suicidal. " Well, Naomi did work as an exotic dancer. Therefore, she must be mentally unstable. And since we have 'proven' she is mentally unstable, then these accusations must be true. Sure, there is no evidence to back them up. But - she is a stripper. And being a stripper is all the evidence we need to prove that she is mentally unstable and suicidal." If I am wrong about this, then under judicial review Esther Wiggins should have no problem explaining to a panel of judges exactly what evidence she used to determine I was suicidal. 

Now I get to sound like an infomercial...But Wait - there's more! She ordered us to take parenting classes through the county. I completed two parenting classes, Infant/Child CPR through the American Red Cross, and Six Credit Hours in Child Development and Child Psychology at my college earning an A in both course. Esther Wiggins said that I do not have the mental capacity to learn from classes or apply my knowledge appropriately...I think it was the Baby Einstein Cartoon thing again. I think it might be the dancer thing again too, after all, I am an attractive female, it's not like I could have a brain or something. The father, who did not read one child development book in his life or even finish the court ordered parenting class....yes....he certainly knows more about child care than I do....

 Years Later.......

As a natural and logical consequence for her actions, my daughters father abandoned her in Alsace France for Five and a half years. He sent fraudulent letters to Esther Wiggins Lyles, maintaining a compounding lie, pretending that our daughter resided in the United States of America to collect Thousands of Dollars of child support. 

I had to retain legal services both in my daughters hometown, in Alsace France and in Paris. I also met with the French consulate in New York City. I presented them with all the fraudulent letters the father sent Esther Wiggins over the years, child support documents showing that I was forced to give the man thousands of dollars. The French government also have copies of the custody orders and the court records. 

The French Judge will be able to hear the horrific messages this guy left on my voice mail, saying "if you do not give me money, you will never see her again!" Then, we will point out how Judge Wiggins said in the custody order, 'the verbal abuse is a cultural misunderstanding.' The amazing part about the whole "cultural misunderstanding thing" is that Esther Wiggins does not have an advanced degree in French studies, she has never lived there and does not even speak the language fluently. Yet, it appears she feels that she is in a position to make a statement about French culture. The reality is that the verbal abuse is not cultural, and while in France, no one took kindly to the fact that Wiggins insulted French culture like that. It is a rude thing to say. 

I paid up to 12,000 dollars in child support to a man who did not have custody of a child. Isn't that amazing. But, what I would like you all to understand is that Esther Wiggins will not hold the man accountable for his actions. She will let him walk - and she will throw me in jail as I have stopped sending checks. From this moment on, I will pay only what the French government order me to pay.  

What compounds the issue is that all those years my little girl was living the life of an orphan in France, the French government had to pay many things for her. They paid for her education. They paid all her medical care. They paid all her dental care. We do not have verification yet on the exact dollar amount her grandmother received from the government, but we understand she got a welfare check from the French government as well. All the while, Virginia Child Support Enforcement sent child support to my ex rather than to the French government to reimburse them for all of their expenses for my daughter. In short - the French government have been defrauded out of a lot of money. 

Who can really blame the father for lying to Esther Wiggins for all these years? I do agree with him about one thing: he always knew after she awarded him sole custody that she would continue to believe every piece of unmitigated crap that came out of his mouth. 

Wiggins literally believes everything that the father says to her. When I say everything - I mean everything. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. 

What is most amazing, is that this woman called me immoral for working as a go-go dancer years ago - yet she ruined the lives of innocent people. Because of her my little girl lived the life of an orphan. Because of her, my daughter will struggle with feelings of abandonment for the rest of her life. Moreover, if anyone is immoral it is my ex. He lied to Wiggins for years - about everything! Every single letter he sent her was a lie. If there is anyone in this world he should have been loyal to, that would be her. He exploited Esther Wiggins, humiliated her, made her look foolish - yet Wiggins lives in a perpetual delusion that I am the immoral one. It is the strangest thing in the world to me. 

May 6 2005

May 6, 2005 is an important court date, because it was the last time I appeared in Arlington Virginia. We presented ourselves for one purpose and one purpose alone - that was to get the case moved to Washington DC. But knowing Wiggins, that would be as easy as pulling teeth.

. I hired a court reporter.... I sat there quietly, not a peep out of me. If there is any piece of advice I could give to any person, always hire a court reporter when you go into Wiggins court room. Never under any circumstances go into her court room without a person recording everything. In most parts of the country the government provides court reporters. But in Esther Wiggins Court, they will not tell you this little secret - but there is no court reporter. Hiring that court reporter was the best decision I ever made.

Wiggins smiled, rolled her eyes, and went on a rant about - "the father has been so honest with me about every vacation...the mother just disappered and ceased all contact with her child...."

That is right ... you read correctly. She said: " The mother ceased all contact with the child." If you thought that you misread, no you did not. The father put my daughter on an airplane, shipped her off to France, dumped her with his mother for over 5 years and lied about it. Wiggins - living in her perpetual state of 'la la land' actually believes that I ceased all contact with my daughter. Of course you will also say that Wiggins did not know that man was lying to her, or that every letter he sent her was a lie. And you would be right. That is true. She did not know. Wiggins is a victim, and I should remember that.

But - she was smiling when she said it. "The mother ceased all contact." Even to this day my ex refuses to let me see my daughter or speak to her on the telephone. And Wiggins thinks I am responsible for that. I am suppose to have magical powers controlling what my ex does. 

 My attorney and I looked at each other. It was one of those Wonderland moments, when Esther Wiggins Lyles just looked bat-shit crazy.  I leaned over a whispered - 

--"Do you think we should tell her?"

--"Don't bother Naomi, she wont believe you."

--"Are you sure? Every letter he sent her is a lie?"

--"She wont believe you. And she wont rule in your favor."

I am sorry to admit this, but he was right. Wiggins mind was so far gone, that she was living in Alice in Wonderland. She will never listen to me, she will never believe the truth. There is nothing I can do about that. There is nothing any of us can do about that. She prefers to live in her dream world, where she is never wrong and has never ruined lives. 

 I turned around and made eye contact with some others in the room, others who knew my little girl had been abandoned in France. The look on their faces was priceless. My ex boyfriend was in the room as well. He was dumbfounded. He could not believe an American judge could be so stupid, so naive, so easily duped.  

My ex, confident that everything would be in his favor defended himself, stood up, and once again his elaborate lies flowed effortlessly from his mouth to her ears. The mans talent is very simple. He is an intelligent man, but he has a special way of manipulating Wiggins into thinking that he is a harmless simpleton. Wiggins thinks he is not that bright - which is exactly the way he likes it. Wiggins in turn, does not hold him to any obligations or responsibilities. She has no standards from him at all. It is really weird. 

Another Weird Lie He Told Wiggins...

At this point the man told her so many lies, the it is easier to just list the things he was honest about. This one was so strange it threw me for a loop. I did not know what to make of it.

 January 2004 I paid about $4000 dollars in child support. Remember - he dumped our daughter in France with his mother, and technically speaking did not have custody of a child. But I had to pay him all that money anyway. The injustice of that reality is enough to make your blood boil. But - trust me it get's even weirder by the minute.

He told her that I paid the child support to continue travelling internationally.He apparently obtained secret information that I was doing international travel. Like usual he produced no evidence to back up his claims. Like usual, the Red Queen automatically believed him. 

• FACT - I was a full-time student at George Mason University
  
• FACT - I presented my University Transcripts to the French Authorities proving that this lie, was just a myriad of lies my ex tells Wiggins.
  
• FACT - The French also examined my passport. I know Wiggins has probably never left the State of Virginia, but when a person leaves the country - passports are stamped.
  
• FACT - When a person enters the United States, US Customs scans their passport
  

One would think Wiggins might have enough brain functioning to realize the man in lying. But she was too busy looking at all the pretty unicorns and rainbows.

 He also claimed that our daughter does not have a valid U.S. passport. He said this was my fault because I did not sign a passport application. Three seconds before making this claim, he told her that I disappeared and had absolutely no communication with me. In a normal world, the Judge would stop and say..." Sir, three seconds ago you said that you and Naomi had no communication with each other. Therefore - how do you know she is doing all this international travel? How do you know she paid $4000 in child support to continue all this international travel? And also - if there is no communication, how would Naomi know that your daughter was in need of a US passport?" You would think that any rational, forward thinking Judge would immediately ask these questions.

Just to clarify one important thing to my readers. I did not know my daughter needed a US passport. After all - she had been living the life of an orphan in France for over five years. I also understood that since her father had Sole Legal Custody, he does not need my consent for anything. All that talk about my daughters passport, was frankly, news to me. This was the first time I heard about any of it. 

 Esther Wiggins replied, "I just dont understand why the mother wont sign the passport application...what is wrong with her...! This child needs to re-enter the country! " She smiled, joked, rolled her eyes and acted all 'shocked and concerned.' This woman is such a moron! How is it feasible that a human being could be so stupid? If the man told her that Rabbits could talk, do not be surprised if Esther Wiggins actually tried to find the talking rabbits. 

 Remember - I hired a court reporter so I can back up everything I am saying in this blog.

 Others in the room that day knew my daughter was abandonned for several years in France. We stared blankly at Esther Wiggins, crippled by our inability to look away from a car accident. It was by far - one of the weirdest things I have ever seen in my life. 

The following statement is directed specifically to Esther Wiggins-Lyles....

"NEWS FLASH YOU MORON! He has sole legal custody - you gave it to him....remember...he does not need my signature to obtain our daughters passport."

I know that Esther Wiggins does not know what Sole Legal Custody is - So here is a link giving a basic definition of Sole Legal Custody. I know, you would think that a Family Court Judge would know what Sole Legal Custody is, but we are talking about Esther Wiggins here. She is not that bright, lets be honest.

I am going to also link the State Department Website - they will explain that when parents are awarded SOLE LEGAL CUSTODY. The non-applying parent does not need to sign anything. Of course - Wiggins is to dim witted to know that my daughter is a French citizen who was travelling on a French passport the whole time. The rest of us can probably figure that out pretty quickly. She never had any problem travelling. But, with Wiggins, understanding that would take way too much brain power.

"If a parent is deceased, has no rights of custody, in a coma in a persistant vegitative state...Then they do not need the signature of the non-applying parent."

 Any dumb-dumb knows that SOLE LEGAL custody means something. Thank goodness I hired the court reporter to document that insanity! What a weirdo.

Some of the things that have come out of that woman's mouth is just baffeling - how on earth could a FAMILY COURT JUDGE not know basic information about children's passports? Call me crazy, but is that not like a medical doctor not knowing the heimlich maneuver? 

THE AMERICAN EMBASSY IN PARIS

When I was in France, at the American Embassy I spoke with Federal agents about that whole situation. We have it all on tape, and the verbatim court transcripts, so Wiggins cannot lie. They were baffled.

-"Naomi, why didn't you tell her the man was lying?"

-"She refused to believe the truth"

What an Intelligent Judge Would Have Said:

"Wait a tick, sir. If memory serves me correct, I gave you sole legal custody. Ergo, you do not need Naomi's signature. What the heck are you talking about?" Not her - it is too easy to just sit back and believe everything other people tell her. No thinking involved.

2010 - Update

My daughter is 12 years old. The last time I saw her she was 7, and could not speak a word of English. Judge Odessa Vincent in Washington DC ruled in my favor. I asked her to dismiss custody because jurisdiction was in France.

Judge Vincent agreed with me. She realized the father had been lying. Although she does not know all the facts, she demonstrated the most common sense I have ever seen in a Judge. Kudos to Odessa Vincent!!! You are wonderful!!!

Kidnapping - From France To The USA - Evading French Justice

My ex kidnapped her from France and returned to the United States where he has a custody order. Even though Judge Vincent dismissed custody so that we could move the case to a French court, Esther Wiggins pulled the case back to Virginia. 

• FACT - I HAVE NOT LIVED IN VIRGINIA FOR YEARS
  
• FACT- MY EX HAS NOT LIVED IN VIRGINIA FOR YEARS
  
• FACT - ESTHER WIGGINS LYLES SAW EVERYTHING I POSTED ABOUT HER ON THE INTERNET
  

Here is my personal opinion on the matter. Wiggins knows, after everything I posted on the internet that my daughters father told her a lot of lies. But the reality is that my blogs and YouTube videos about her have been fairly effective in ruining her reputation. I humiliated Esther Wiggins. I think she does not care what she did to my daughter. I think she does not care about all the pain she caused. She does not have any morality, any decency, or any basic integrity. She is too proud to ever admit she was wrong. She wants me back in Virginia because I stopped paying child support. The man has profited enough from his lies. I am done. If I have to myrter myself by going to jail - then that is what I need to do.

• Wiggins does not care that my ex erased me from my daughters life
  
• Wiggins does not care my daughter lived the life of an orphan
  
• Wiggins just wants to 'win', she does not care if she rules in the favor of a man who exploited her, and lied to her.
  
• Wiggins wants to shut me up. 

What would happen to my daughter's father for everything he did to us?

In a normal world we would see the following things happen.

• He would lose custody rights
  
• He would have to pay punitive damages and legal fees.
  
• He would be incarcerated. Most normal Judges would sentence him to week-ends in jail. From Friday evening until Sunday Morning for 36 months, 48 months - or in this case since my daughter was abandoned in France over five years -- WEEK ENDS IN JAIL FOR FIVE YEARS
  

In the alternate reality of Esther Wiggins Lyles, where the woman is proud, stupid, and crazy we will see her blaming me for what my ex choses to do. We should expect something like this from Wiggins. 

"Well Naomi, you did work as a stripper - so you must have used your magical powers to make the father lie to me for so long." No matter what, she will actively look for some reason to let the man off the hook. I promise that. He will not experience any real consequences for what he did. This is the justice we should expect from this woman. This is why we call her the Red Queen. Her court room represents an alternate reality.

We would expect her to say..."Okay, it was a five and a half year vacation." Or maybe she will say, "Well, it was five and a half years for school."  The only people who take five year vacations are people who are on their way to a Federal Prison - which is the only place my ex should be going. 

This is why we have the French authorities involved. They have the following

• My daughters school records
  
• Her Medical Records
  
• Every bullshit letter my ex sent to Wiggins, pretending my daughter lived in the USA with him
  
• Court Transcripts - "the father has been so honest with me about every vacation."
  
• The Custody Order - including that part where she said I was 'suicidal - without evidence' and that the verbal abuse was a 'cultural misunderstanding.'
  
• Messages the father left on my voice mail, and actual recorded conversations where he told me she met him at his restaurant
  

The French authorities have given me some instructions so that we can hold the man accountable for what he did to my daughter. Because of the child support, I cannot leave the country on a US passport to fight the battle in France. However, I might be getting a passport issued by another government very soon. I will post information about that as it becomes available. 

CONCLUSION

I am open to talking to any woman who has lost her child. 

I experience a tremendous amount of pain and suffering every day. Even after ten years, I still have nightmares. I still cry about my daughter. I still miss her deeply.

I publicly attack Wiggins every chance I get and will continue to do so until her career is over. She failed to protect my daughter. My ex lied to her for years, about so many things and she foolishly believe it. Esther Wiggins is a disgrace to the American judicial system. She is an embarrassment to the State of Virginia. She is cold, evil and corrupt on every level. 

Virginia State Government

I recorded a personal video message which I will send to the offices of each elected official in the State of Virginia. We will also be posting online petitions asking that you removes Judge Wiggins as family court judge. I would like to return to Virginia and ask a court to hold the father accountable for what he did. I need to present this case to an objective, unbiased Judge. I will send all the signatures we obtain directly to your offices.

The French will want me to present new evidence. I know what they are looking for, and have decided not to post that information in this blog. 

I also have a social responsibility in France. As long as Wiggins remains a Judge in Virginia, the French government should hear me speak publicly. I will recommend that the French government not honor the Hague Convention with the State of Virginia.
