Etobicoke Centre fundraiser sees big names

A Conservative (CPC) fundraiser for Lt. Col. Ted Opitz saw some big names attend the event held at an upscale Toronto house in Etobicoke Centre riding. Some of the names that attended in support include Senator Mike Duffy (yes the very same, famous TV journalist), Ex Deputy Mayor of Toronto Chris Korwin-Kuczynski(Kay Kay as he is known to his peers), Roger Nair( Famous Canadian Film maker and Human Rights Activist) , Victor and Antoine Pappalardo ( CEO of Trans air), Roman Gowar and many more.

Ted Opitz is a veteran of the Canadian Army of 33 years and has worked for the Immigration Minister Jason Kenney for the past two years as a Senior Regional Advisor responsible for GTA.

Ted has been a resident of Etobicoke Centre since 1994 and lives there with his wife Cynthia presently.Ted has been honored and decorated numerous times in both his Army and Civil life, following are Ted Opitz's Honours and Awards: 



● Canadian Government Volunteer Award

● United Nations Volunteer Award

● Commanders Commendation for service to World Youth Days 2002

● Received Gold Cross for contributions to the Polish Combatant's Association

● Canadian Forces Decoration with two bars for 32 years military service

● NATO Decoration for service in the former Yugoslavia

● Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal

● Queen's Jubilee Medal

● Awarded Serving Brother of St John

● Pro Memoria Medal (Poland)

● Knight's Cross Order of Merit (Poland)
