EU to Blacklist Yemenia Air?

The European Union (EU) is investigating whether or not to add Yemenia Air to its blacklist of airlines banned from flying to Europe.
A Yemenia Air aircraft crashed into the Indian Ocean on Tuesday, June 30, two years after French aviation inspectors found a "number of faults" during an examination of the plane in 2007.
EU Transport Commissioner Antonio Tajani said that Yemenia Air met EU safety regulations in the past and has not been on the airline blacklist.
"We shall contact the Yemeni airline involved to see what happened and to verify the level of safety," Tajani told reporters. "The problem seems to be that the airliner was changed ... We have to verify what actually happened. We have to make sure Europeans traveling by air can feel safe."
According to Tajani, the EU blacklist is created by airline safety experts, who maintain checks over all airlines flying in and out of the EU. The list currently includes 194 airlines that are considered to fail international safety standards, and will be updated in coming weeks.

Was there a discussion to black list Air France when it crashed recently? No, it was all about finding the missing people. Less 24 hours and their concern is about blacklisting the airline. What the lives of the people in Yeminia airlines are not as valuable. Or is it a manifestation Europe's double standards. I have search for headlines regarding anything to do with blacklisting Air France but was not able to find any.
