EU warns Sri Lanka over deteriorating human rights

European Union one of the largest trading partner and the second largest for garments export warned Sri Lanka of losing preferential import tariffs if the human rights record to get worse. In a related development earlier this month, the New York based Human Rights Watch (HRW) has accused the government of Sri Lanka being responsible for wide spread abductions and disappearances.
