The local Taliban expelled two eunuchs from Tangi tehsil of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP), forcing them to turn to Peshawar, the capital city of the NWFP.
It was learnt that Taliban from a local seminary approached the two eunuchs living in Wawa Market locality and ordered them either to quit the profession of singing and dancing or leave area.
The two eunuchs -- Amir alias Shabnum and Saleem alias Sheenay -- used to earn their livelihood by singing and dancing at the marriage parties.
Terming their mode of earning un-Islamic, the local Taliban ordered the two eunuchs to leave the district within 24 hours.
Later, the frightened eunuchs were summoned by the Tangi Police, who advised them to leave the area forthwith so as to forestall any untoward incident.
When approached, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bahadur Khan said the action was taken after receiving public complaints.
The two eunuchs had shifted from Peshawar to Tangi some three months ago after developing differences with their "guru" (mentor).
Meanwhile, defending their action against the non-local eunuchs, Taliban said they (Taliban) were approached by the local people with a request to take action against the eunuchs.
