There was much relief on both sides of the English Channel this weekend as news came that the fire that occured in the tunnel linking Britain to continental Europe did not cause enough damage to close the transport link down for a long period of time. Service should be back to normal by the end of this week.

Eurostar will increase the number of trains between England and Paris from 12 to 15 a day from tomorrow.

The service should be back to almost full capacity by the end of the week.

A huge fire closed the Channel Tunnel ten days ago.

There will be a staged reopening of track in the coming days, but journeys might still be delayed.
