Exotic Petting Zoo, Ft. Myers Florida
We were about to pull into the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant in Ft. Meyers, Florida one night in February when we noticed something very odd next to the road: a camel standing in a pen under brutally bright lights. Much to our shock, we realized that it was advertising a petting zoo that was set up on an empty lot next to the parking area.
Not only was there a camel (who could only stand or sit due to the tiny pen he was cooped up in) but we discovered a tiger in a metal cage, a giant yellow snake (perhaps a python) that was in an aquarium so small that it was folded up three times just to fit inside, a very crazed looking monkey also in a small cage, as well as llamas, baby goats and some other barnyard animals.
My friend asked one of the "zookeepers" if the animals ever got a chance to roam around and he said that every month they went to a 5-acre reserve, which I very much doubt.
I can't believe, that in this day and age, exotic animals are kept in captivity in this fashion. Are there not laws against this?? Where is PETA when you need them?? I hope these pictures will help shut down this horrific zoo.

This is awful and sick - those poor animals, thank you for posting about this.
