The EU's safety watchdogs are investigating reports that Apple iPods and iPhones are "exploding" in the summer weather. News 19 08 2009. The investigation follows reports from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Britain, France, Holland and Sweden that some digital music players and mobile phones have spontaneously combusted in the sunshine.
Is Global warming the issue now and how are manufacturers to overcome such increases in Global temperatures to survive?. While in a Thailand Hotel watching TV a US investment firm “gleemed pixally before my eyes” announcing “why miss out on PROFITS to be made from global warming – invest with us at ………….” while I sat in a heat cloud listening to a fool whose only interest was in money!. I then thought of the film “A fist full of Dollars” and then “a few Dollars more” which lead to other films in which the context was: “you don't understand about our American way” – umm!. I don’t normally lower my standards in “thinking” about swearing but this USA advert really touched a nerve for the clown and if he be truly representative of all USA citizens then GOD save the Planet through NO HUMANISTIC STANDARDS as to “common sense” as to ordinary people!.
Can someone please tell me which planet I’m living on – YourAnus, Mercury – maybe planet zonk – a far distant planet from Earth?.
Temperature over 40C ? – Well yes! (see images)
My Canon 5D’s max operational temperature of 40 C has been beyond its limits so is that why it dropped its internal reflex lens while in Thailand (see image). I couldn’t be bothered to make another internet enquiry over the camera since I’m still waiting a first reply from two years ago!. With that in mind I bought a Nikon D300 wile awaiting its repair.
To travel between countries my GPS Compass points in the wrong direction ( see image )
To use a high tech GPS device that a taxi driver can’t distinguish because the name is slightly different is another matter! – perfectness which really is what technology is about. My old GPS left in a Taxi doesn’t know its location relative to myself which means that its lost relative to my location in being with me- umm!.
Technology! – To enter Birkenhead into a GPS could mean either Birkenhead in NZ or the UK , likewise with Silverdale.
All of this is not simply about batteries since specifications do not seemingly take into account that a user from one country in a lower temperature region may take their equipment into another of a higher temperature which requires more cooling.
