Day by day it is getting clear that LTTE cannot establish it's Utopian homeland in Sri Lanka in the wake of the current situation the organization is in. In an analysis run by Sri Lankan news papers, there was a mention of transplanting the Eelam dream to a different part of world - possibly Malaysia.This is irrespective of the outcome of the current military conflict in Sri Lanka.

"The LTTE is believed to be planning to establish their international network centre to be based in Malaysia," the newspaper said, adding that the strengthening of Sri Lanka's diplomatic mission in Kuala Lumpur was a result of this intelligence.

Malaysia, may not be the only Southeast Asian country where the LTTE, banned as a terrorist organization by some 30 countries including India, is likely to set up support bases or revive dormant links for a different kind of war.

This would happen whether or not Prabhakaran survives the military offensive. The LTTE has lost not just territory but several top commanders since President Mahinda Rajapaksa's government decided to carry the fight to the enemy three years ago, after six months of absorbing Tiger attacks.

Why Malaysia is attractive to LTTE?

Because the country's 7.1 percentage are of Indian origin and the majority is Tamils. Tamil is one of the recognized languages in Malaysia. LTTE’ research found out that Malaysia can be a fertile ground for the kind of terrorist activities that they were conducting in Sri Lanka. The situation in Tamil (both people and language) is sad in Malaysia and are suppressed and oppressed by the Malaysian government - as written by Tamilnation.org.

The Tamils in Malaysia especially those of Indian origin have begun agitating for their civic rights. I had written an article - attached below - in the mid nineties during a visit to Malaysia. I was shocked at the way that non Malays - especially those of Indian and Eelam origin were treated. And I was saddened by the way these Malaysians of Indian and Eelam origin accepted the open discrimination of their government. I had the opportunity of meeting very highly educated and wealthy Malaysians of Eelam origin during the visit. When I pointed to them about their unconditional support for the racist policies of the Malaysian government, they laughed at me and told me that it was the Eelam Tamils who were real fools. They pointed out that had the Eelam Tamils followed their policies - accepting political discrimination for economic concessions the Tamils of Eelam would not be in their present sorry state. (

Even the Tamils Malaysia started protesting against discrimination in 2007.

In addition to this there is “historical” evidence that Malaysia was a Tamil Kingdom before. So it is the moral and cultural responsibility of LTTE to reclaim the lost part of "Eelam".

There were numerous Chinese and Indian kingdoms in the 2nd and 3rd centuries CE—as many as 30 according to Chinese sources. Kedah—known as Kedaram, Cheh-Cha (according to I-Ching) or Kataha, in ancient Pallava or Sanskrit—was in the direct route of invasions of Indian traders and kings. Rajendra Chola, Tamil Emperor who is now thought to have laid Kota Gelanggi to waste, put Kedah to heel in 1025 but his successor, Vira Rajendra Chola, had to put down a Kedah rebellion to overthrow the invaders. The coming of the Chola reduced the majesty of Srivijaya, which had exerted influence over Kedah and Pattani and even as far as Ligor.

Looks like Malaysia has got a lot of homework to do in the coming days.

UN, India tacitly supporting Lankan military offensive: LTTE

The TamilNet also carried a statement by LTTE foreign relations official Selvaraja Pathmanathan, seeking an "immediate and permanent ceasefire" in the north.

"LTTE's armed struggle is the historical product of injustice against the Tamil Nation in the island, and if the international community could achieve a just political solution to the conflict, the need for an armed struggle would cease to exist," he said.

"LTTE is ready to participate in political negotiations ...If an immediate and permanent ceasefire is ensured," the statement said

Umm..Israeli Agent..

Apparantly, you cannot understand whats is Tamil Eelam.

For a small herd/group of people greatly involved in fales beliefs and make beliefs,leading life looking after cattles/goats etc.,for a small group longing for a king just like other people/nation..who till then had never known that organized society/kings existed in this world...but for a money greedy barbaric community like jews....it is very very difficult to know,to understand what is homeland / civilization / the tongue we speak.... its highly impossible....

even before jehovah got into being...we eelam tamils existed...exist and will do so

Not only Malaysia, I think countries like Canada, UK, Australia should start investigating on the people who were openly protesting, not for IDPs, but to protect LTTE by waving the LTTE flags.

Some of them might be innocent, however it is highliy likely that the organisers of those events to have a direct link with LTTE and even with other terrorist organisations. I do not have facts to prove this statement, it is just that what I think as a possibility given the scale of funding, arms smuggling, media support, europian political backing that these people had.

Also SOME of the europian politicians may have strong backing from these terrorist groups by way of funding political campaigns and personal business interests. Within next few days, we'll see the end of war in Sri Lanka, will that mean it will end in west? These people will try something out in Europe to find ways to fund terrorism, probably in Europe and Canada.

Toronto could be a great target for Tamils to make the next homeland claim because the tamils who have migrated by various ways to Canada, most of them are strong Ealam supporters.

Since they have sacrificed generations by supporting LTTE for this and failed, now they will look in to other options. It is highly likely that the plans are already in place. It is difficult to do this in India, Sri Lanka without taking arms because of the way south asian politics work. It is too hard and any funding towards this will be a waste for tamils because even they find a breakthrough with one south asian government, things can change with the next government that comes to power.

I would also think and feel it is not the same in western countries. Tamil Ealam supporters can always find a way and once you win your rights, it is secured. It is like Asylam Seekers. All they have to do is to somehow step in to these countries. They get all facilities, benefits and the life is secured more than anywhere in the world.

Just my thinking only. Don't ask me to provide facts to prove my claims.

Its good to hear the demise of arms struggle of LTTE in Sri Lanka. Otherwise it would just add another dark episode in this bloody history..and for what reasons?. Prabakharan has been a peaceful solution yet he choose militancy. In Sri Lanka, Muslims have been massacred by the hundreds regardless if they are women or children. For those who thinks that Indian Malaysian has been sidelined, they should come here and look closely. You'll be surprised to see the number of Hindu temple being built despite they only consists of 10% of the population. Have we ever done the same thing that LTTE have done the the Muslim in Sri Lanka? Don't post crap thing about peace and freedom if you condone such act of barbarity!
