An interesting picture. I don't think he is dead but I'm not sure what is going on here. A few comments from help to clarify it!

gerrypopplestone, he's not dead. This guy is a local in one of the small towns of Zimbabwe, who basically just lies around all day. He seems drunk most of the time, but possibly even a little deranged.
The reason I took this picture was because I found it definitive to what is happening to the people of Zimbabwe. Look closely and you will see money lying next to this man, money that is worth nothing. He has nothing but a sand-ditch which he lies in, every day of his life. This is a life just wasting away...
