Fake letter bombs sent to Scottish political addresses
A member of the Scottish National Liberation Army (SNLA) has sent a fake letter bomb to a number of political addresses including the Scottish First minister, Alex Salmond.
The SNLA are a group who's mains aim's are a independent Scotland - not a lot of people will know about this group.
Reported to be targeted were the official residence of the First Minister Bute House, SNP's headquarters in Edinburgh, The Librial Democrats MSP for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine Mike Rumbles and Glasgow City Chambers.
The man called a newspaper, The Daily Record in Glasgow with a known keyword and the newspaper alerted the police but the letters turned out to be harmless. The man also claimed to have sent devices to two other addresses in Scotland.
The man will apear at court in Paisley, Renfrewshire on Monday.
FIRST Minister Alex Salmond was one of six people allegedly targeted by a man claiming to have sent out letter bombs.
Last night police were reportedly alerted after the man called a newspaper office claiming to have sent the devices on behalf of the Scottish National Liberation Army.
