Father ask for sex on refusal slit daughter's throat

Putting the sacred father-daughter relationship to shame, a teenager was found with her throat slit open on the railway tracks, because she reportedly didn't let her father have sex with her.

The victim is battling for life at PGIMS, Rohtak, and is not in a position to make a statement. The Railway Police has nabbed the accused, Rajbir, who runs a tea stall at Asandh in Panipat district and booked him for attempt to murder. The railway police had found the girl aged between 18 to 19 years in a critically-injured condition on the railway track here on May 31.

The girl, with her throat slit with a sharp-edged weapon, was bleeding profusely when the cops spotted her. They immediately rushed her to the local general hospital, from where she was referred to the PGIMS, Rohtak.

"The accused had come to Jind with his daughter on May 30 and the duo stayed at the Bhiwani Road house of Rajbir's sister, who informed the police that Rajbir had an eye on his own daughter for a long time and had made several attempts to develop relations with her," said Narinder Kumar, the cop on duty at the GRP police station.

"The woman also told the police that Rajbir had left her place along with his daughter just a while before cops found the girl injured," he added.

The police arrested the accused on Monday from the local railway station. "He has confessed to the crime, but he denied that he ever tried to rape his daughter,"said Narinder Kumar. Rajbir, though, told the police he tried to kill his daughter because she was a girl of 'easy virtue'.

"The police got him medically examined and produced him in the court that sent him in judicial custody," Kumar said.
