FBI Investigates fraud at Arlington National Cemetery
The only way to get to the bottom of the Arlington National Cemetery scandal is to put the FBI on the case. Criminals have managed the place for years, assisted by layers of criminals among the contracting community. This is no different than scandalous behavior elsewhere in the Department of Defense. This just hurts a lot more people who should not have to bear more suffering.
“Breaking News Alert: FBI investigating mishandling of remains at Arlington Cemetery

The Justice Department is investigating the mishandling of remains at Arlington National Cemetery in a broad criminal inquiry that also seeks evidence of possible contracting fraud and falsification of records.
A federal grand jury in Alexandria has been subpoenaing witnesses and records relating to the scandal, and the investigation has been underway for at least six months, people familiar with the investigation said Tuesday.

America's National Disgrace

Rather bizarre situation. What could be the reasons for specifically mishandling burials?

The motive...
You have to go back to see who was in charge for twenty years or more. There were a couple of guys who quit abruptly. They were bureaucrats just loping along with a paper-based system. It got beyond their ability to manage it. They just started shuffling bodies and paperwork around and got it all mixed up.
Then of course, these bureaucrats had some contractor "helpers." The helpers have been found to be deficient and perhaps criminally negligent in how they treated the bodies and burial responsibilities.
I suspect the FBI will be looking into who benefited from contractual relationships. They will investigate all in charge to see who, if anyone, gained from doing business at Arlington who should not have.

Government can't even run a f^'n grave yard. Not even one where they bury their heroes. What's the biggest issue? Matching bodies to head stones and plot numbers. But oh ya, they want to become an even greater institution and control more of our lives. And there is a large enough segment of the population working hard to make sure this happens. That is the national disgrace right there. Gross incompetence and excess as the pinnacle ideal.

When we buried our heroes there, we brought them in a box and put the box in the mosaleum ourselves. Right box, right number. Salute.
