This nation is supposed to be a republic, though its difficult to get people to understand that considering the intentional dumbing down of our children in the schools. Schools teaching that this is supposedly a 'democracy'. There is a big difference between a constitutional republic and a democracy. Many adults need to learn the difference. Congressmen and women swear an oath to the constitution, unfortunately many of them do not know the first thing about it or the people who wrote it. Many of them couldn't care less about it quite honestly. In fact many of them are quick to say that the 'state' is god and that we are global citizens and the idea of a sovereign nation and a sovereign citizenry is outdated and exists in the past not the present. How wrong they are, and how disgusting that is to real Americans. These elected representatives are our servants, their job is do our bidding, and speak on our behalf, oh, how times have changed. Private banks issuing our currency and charging us interest on that currency. Super majorities of Americans being entirely ignored by our legislators. We sit and watch them pass into law these monstrosities, bills that require teams of lawyers to read and break down, all this after the fact, after the bills are passed in absolute defiance of the people's wishes. Some of these bills not even being read or understood by those voting on them. Some of these bills being passed late at night with voice votes. The truth is, these elected officials are working for us and if they cannot handle the risk involved then they need to step aside for a real American.  Some of them suggest that law abiding citizens give up their rights just to speak with them in public, that is so disturbing, if a person doesn't understand why it's disturbing, there is little hope that they ever will. It truly fits into the agenda of suppressing any criticism of government.
