Breaking Now- a cargo Jet opperated by FedEx has crashed in Lubbock, TX

BOSTON (Reuters) - A cargo aircraft operated by a subcontractor of FedEx Corp crashed upon landing at an airport in Lubbock, Texas, on Tuesday and the two crew members who had been on board "walked away" under their own power, a FedEx spokeswoman said.

The ATR-42 aircraft, operated by Empire Airways, was coming from Fort Worth, Texas, with 73,000 pounds (33,110 kg) of freight on board, FedEx spokeswoman Sandra Munoz said.

Update- Good news the Pilots walked away under their own power

The two pilots on board were able to walk away from the wreckage. They were taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock with what were described as "moderate" injuries.

Aircraft information -

The plane was operated by Coeur d'Alene, Idaho-based Empire Airways under contract with Memphis, Tenn.-based FedEx Corp.
