Unidentified persons kidnapped a female Canadian journalist in volatile tribal region of Pakistan on Tuesday along with her guide and translator while travelling from Bannu to Miranshah.

It was learnt that the Canadian journalist, Khadija Abdul Qahar, was on her way to Miranshah in the troubled North Waziristan Agency via Sra Darga by a taxicab along with her translator and guide when some unidentified armed men kidnapped all of them.

However, the taxicab driver managed to escape from the scene. It was learnt that the district police were combing the area to recover the kidnapped Canadian journalist and her colleagues.

Khadija Abdul Qahar, an old woman who had embraced Islam, is reportedly based in Islamabad.

Dear Sardar Daud, I am sorry that I too did not hear anything about the journalist or the people kidnapped with her since the incident occurred. However, whenever I got any information in this regard, I would try my best to immediately post it at NP
