Femina Miss India Winner Pooja Chopra & Ekta Choudhary Win Crown

The Winners has been announced, Pooja Chopra wins Miss India World and Ekta Choudhary wins Miss India Universe and this year both are at the same level. In yester years Miss Universe used to be rated as the Miss India and the runner up used to go to Miss World. Ekta Choudhury asked the judge Asin to repeat the question and the crown winning answer was " What else do you need other than Hard Work and Luck and she answered "God Help Those who Help Themselves"
In the program on Sony Entertainment Television the semi finalists are being announced at the ground the winners have been announced!!! They are also available on the Official Miss India site, just follow the link highlighted below...
The event; Pantaloons Femina Miss India; was held at Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai India.

Dance Performance by Kangana was another low point of the show, she too could not move with the beats.... Oh Boy BAD Television overall. Priyanka Chopra took the cake as she danced with Gusto and picked up the performance! Apart from the crowning moment, her act was the high point of the show.

The crowns are being presented by Sanjeev Agarwal CEO Pantaloons and Deepika Padukone. PFMI 09 Miss Fresh Face is Diksha Seth, PFMI 09 Miss Perfect 10 Harshita Saxena, Miss Sexy Legs Sonakshi Sajnani.
Miss Golden Heart is Ishita, crown presented by Simran & Sahara Cancer Patients from Tata Memorial Hospital. Miss 58888 Aarohi Kadam presented by Anil Chopra and Ajay Devgan, oops she missed the flowers and Anil Chopra is standing there with the flowers :-).
Pooja Hegde & Ekta Choudhary are joint Miss Talented as there is a tie.
Genelia is now taking the stage with a performance on Jab Chhaye Mera Jadoo!! Live stage performance is not her cup of tea... sorry fans...The crowd is busy with cooling themselves with invitation cards so they are not exactly on fire..

Sushmita Sen is still looking gorgeous as ever. So is Asin. Madhavan is really boring in the opening few minutes of Femina Miss India 2009, as he is making fun of GUCCI, FCUK in Bihari style. Really Bad, hope the rest of the program will be better.
The contestants shook a leg in Rocky S apparals and post their jig, Rocky S walks on to the stage and it is his creations that the 20 contestants are wearing.
The Judges are welcomed on stage in order first was Madhur Bhandarkar, followed by Sushmita Sen Miss Universe 1994, Nandita Mehtani Fashion Designer, Asin Bollywood Actor, Ravi Krishnan MD ING, Micky Boardman Paper Magazine New York, Anil Chopra Advisor Lakme, Deepika Padukone and last to joing the gang was Ajay Devgan. Ajay will be looking for Presentation, Confidence and Looks to choose the winner.
Femina Miss India 2009 will be announced today in a ceremony that is already under way in Mumbai. The show is hosted by Madhavan and Maliaka Arora.
The event will be telecast differed Live on Television in India by Sony Entertainment Television at 9 PM IST.

The winner of this event (Miss India) goes on to represent India in Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth. This year the event is being sponsored by Pantaloons, so the event is being called called Pantaloon's Femina Miss India. There are voices of opposition towards such events but still millions of people tune in to television to watch the show.
Last year the event televised on April 6th, 2008 was watched by 10.1 million Indians with a slight male skew, meaning more males watched the show than females; only slightly though.
Femina is a leading English Magazine targetted towards females. Although half of the readers of Femina are usually males :-), any guesses Y?

A Brief History of Femina Miss India
Reita Faria was the first Indian to be crowned Miss World in 1966 and after that......
in 1994, with the twin triumphs of Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai, who were crowned Miss Universe and Miss World, respectively. Their feats are responsible for taking the whole business of Indian beauty pageants to where it is today.
Ever since, there have been an array of winsome beauties from India winning international titles: Diana Hayden, Miss World 1997, Yukta Mookhey, Miss World 1999, Lara Dutta, Miss Universe 2000, Priyanka Chopra, Miss World 2000, and Diya Mirza, who scored a hat-trick for India, by winning the Miss Asia-Pacific 2000 title. In 2006, Amruta Patki and Tanya Vakil have brought laurels to India by winning the Miss Earth - Air 2006 and the Miss Tourism International first runner up title

The wait is finally over, and m really happy for the winner, ekta moves out from the conventional indian woman, n thts exactly wat the world must see india as, i lover her tatoos n she looks simply gorgeous... yay go get it girl!!
however i m so so so glad tht harshita din win, sorry girl, neverthless the girl looked ugly .. her sister darshika saxena looks way way beautiful.. harshita go back to studying cos ur dumb with no beauty, instead of sleeping with men in Goa.
i will end by sayin the selection was awesome.. india rocks n by harshita not winning it shows tht the show wasnt rigged..

ya miss india's of 2009 are the ugliest of all,pooja chopra looks like an aged woman with fat cheeks,ekta has too thin lips and masculine looks,the other girl has very cheap ordinary looks.UGLY DIRTIES AND A POOR SHOW.
