Fidel Castro is Alive, very well, says Argentinean President

For those who were asking, NP and me included, Fidel Castro is alive, and very well. This  Wednesday, Jan. 21, the former Cuban President received to the Argentinean president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who carried out a visit of three days to Cuba.

Few hours before leaving Havana, Cristina gathered with  Fidel. Acoording to press reports she informed that both had a dialogue about many topics. I saw him  "very well."

She added that they talked about relationships between Cuba and Argentina, and shared impressions about Barack  Obama's first speech as US President.

"I am very happy with this visit, it could not finish better",  said the Head of State.

Till the moment, there is no photo or video record about the meeting between Cristina and Fidel, but her comments are very welcome because they vanish the rumors about Fidel's health condition. So, the answer to the question Is Fidel Castro alive or death have now an answer.

Meeting Cristina  (something written by Fidel Castro)

The conversation lasted 40 minutes, the exchange of ideas was intense and interesting as I hoped. She is a person of deep convictions. There were not debates.

When she spoke in the Aula Magna of the University of the Havana, she answered the questions of the students quickly,  showing talent and answer capacity.

In the Latin American School of Medicine the encounter was exiting; the songs by the Guarani rural students,  with music and typical instruments of that ethnos, gave a special tone to the act. They gave her a medical robe as a present, she put it on, above her  jacket suit and orange pants.

She left from the LAMS and went to talk to me.

When speaking about the United States I pointed out the historical importance for Cuba that yesterday at  noon,  ten US Presidents had traveled along 50 years and in spite of the immense power of that country, they had not been able to destroy the Cuban Revolution.

I said that personally I do not have the smallest doubt about Obama's honesty expressing his ideas; he is the eleventh president since January of 1959,  but in spite of his noble intentions they are many questions to answer. For example I wondered: how a squanderer and consumming system could preserve the environment.

Many other issues on national and international politics of Cuba and Argentina were approached.

Argentina's capacity  to produce goods and industrial products with advanced technology are decisive keys for its development. She mentioned the capacity of computer engineering for trading in the world market, in countries like  India,  of great interest for her, with a very important software production.

Cristina likes to be devoted to work and give it the whole time. Nevertheless, when she travels to another country she is able to protect her rights and set a number of hours to make exercises and get ready. All people respect that.
