Fidel Castro hasn't been seen in over two years. Not only that, but the absence of his regular newspaper column has raised new questions about Castro's health, or if he's even still alive.

His brother Raul took over as president last year, and the Cuban government has made no comment about the condition of 82-year-old former president.

Fidel Castro hasn't appeared publicly in more than two years. The 82-year-old's time out of view has many people in South Florida wondering about the Cuban leader's health and future. There has been a lot of speculation within the Cuban-American community about whether Castro is dead or alive.
Renewed concerns about the health of Fidel Castro have been raised due to his recent absence from public events and the disappearance of his regular newspaper column.

The Cuban government is making no comment about the condition of the 82-year-old former president but speculation has been mounting over recent weeks that his health is declining. His brother Raúl took over as president last year.

"High sources in Washington are saying that reliable sources have said that he has taken gravely ill," said University of Miami's Andy Gomez, who serves as an adviser to the US Task Force on Cuba, an arm of the Brookings Institution think tank comprising academics and former diplomats.

He sure is a symbol, however I doubt that they would hide his death for that long, since it could actually help Cuba and the Communist Ideology at large with a great big funeral and many nostalgic reminders of the "great resistance" along with Che Guewara.... Goodness it could revive Communism. I should do PR work. :)

Fidel Castro is Alive, and Very Well

For those who were asking, NP and me included, Fidel Castro is alive, and very well. He  received this Wednesday 21 to the Argentinean president, Cristina Fernández who carried out a visit of three days to Cuba.

Few hours before leaving Havana, Cristina met Fidel and informed that both had a dialogue about many topics. I saw him  "very well."

She added that they talked about relationships between Cuba and Argentina, and shared impressions about Barack  Obama's first speech as US President.

"I am very happy with this visit, it could not finish better",  said the Head of State.

Till the moment, there is no photo or video record about the meeting between Cristina and Fidel, but her comments are very welcome because they vanish the rumors about Fidel's health condition. So, the answer to the question Is Fidel Castro alive or death have now an answer.
