That is how many see the

Gaza war, that the US and

Israel are both responsible

and Hamas is blameless.

Obama for backing Israel's defense against attacks by Palestinian militants. He said it demonstrated "the abusive character of the empire's power" and insisted it would contribute to "the genocide against the Palestinians."

"It is the way our friend Obama has fallen into sharring Israel's genocide against Palestinians,"

You are welcome.

I think history has bypassed, Castro, both of them.  Cuba is just a memory, not really relevant in the world today.

I am not surprised by his comment, but that he made it right after saying that he was no longer going to say anything political. It looks like Fidel is down but not out, so much for normalizing relations between the USA and Cuba any time soon...

I agree.  Not much will change in Cuba until there is new leadership.

We should normalize relations with Cuba. They are no more dangerous, but rather less dangerous than China. A Cuba swamped with American tourists would let the average Cuban live better and supply them with information and attitudes that would actually help change Cuba into a democracy when Raul and Fidel go the way of the Dodo bird.

Castro is a great example of all the contradiction of revolutionaries. They "represent" the people, yet deny the people freedom of religion, assembly, association, speech and press.

Castro freaked a couple of years back when a cottage industry in Cuba began producing rice cookers that were very popular.

To wipe out this subversive source of monetary and industrial power outside of the Cuban state, Castro had the government give away rice cookers to all Cuban women one Christmas, or whatever commies call Christmas.

He is the dark side of idealism, the ends justifiying his means, his monopoly on power.

I agree on normalizing relations.

A revolution to help the people should mature, become a normal goverment, set up a free democracy..  Castro is stuck in a revolution mode.

Much of his actions could be explained by him coming to love power, not willing to allow freedom or voting that could replace him.
