FILIPINOS: LOADED WITH TALENTS
METRO MANILA. Philippines may be a third world country, but when it comes to talents, Filipinos are surely included in the global recognitions. This has been proven over the years by the numerous awards our local talents have been bringing home from various competitions abroad.
Have you heard of the teen diva Charisse Pempengco? While the 15-year-old has just started to build a career and carve a name in the Philippine entertainment, fellow Filipinos are stunned to know that she has been invited to render songs and duets with famous artists like Andrea Bocelli in Italy, and was invited to guest and render a song number in the Ellen Degeneres show and the Oprah show twice where Oprah herself surprised her when introduced to her longtime idol Celine Dion who had kind and nice words for her, that she even expressed interest in having Charisse in one of her shows in the United States in the near future. This indeed gives honor to our country-- the Philippines.
With regards to stage performances, no less than THE Lea Salonga has long been proven her worth both in the local and international scene.
Filipinos are truly loaded with talents, and that is a fact. Whether famous or not famous, one can go anywhere in the world and see that there are indeed artists everywhere singing, dancing, acting, hosting, making people laugh, and then discover later on that these people branded as "entertainers" are actually full blooded Filipinos. They are being praised by people from different countries and cultures who likewise love music.
Filipinos. One in talent. Recognized globally. Proudly Filipino!

glenfrem, thanks for the post. I think your story has potential but needs some improvement. I've got a few suggestions, and if you give them a try, I'd be happy to remove this flag. I wasn't sure what was newsworthy in this story. News should always be about posting current stuff - new things you've discovered. Thank you for the constructive advise. I'm not really into "writing" but I just want to try to do something new and see if I have a certain "talent" in it. Obviously I think I have.. However, it is in the "beginners" level, or in the so-called "kindergarten" stage. I will try to make better next time, though. Again thank you. : )
