Finnish School Shooter Left Two Notes, "I Hate Everybody, I Hate Mankind"
MATTI Juhani Saari, 22, a student at the Kauhajoki College of Hospitality, left two notes, a recent CNN broadcaster has revealed, in which he is alleged to have written "I hate everybody, I hate mankind."
The man had made a violent youtube video threat and had listed the Columbine killings as his favourite footage. The two perpetrators of that outrage had posted several threatening videos before shooting dead their classmates. Saari is believed to have shot dead nine of his own class mates who were sitting an exam together in the same room.
Their bodies were burnt "almost beyond recognition," police say.
The incident is almost an exact copy of a Finnish school shooting last November in which Pekka Auvinen shot dead nine, including the headmistress in front of her pupils at a shcool in Tuusula.
A student who went on a murderous rampage at a Finnish school, killing 10 people before turning his gun on himself, left behind a note that could explain the tragic act, police say."We have found a message in his flat, but we will not publish it yet," head of the police investigation Jari Neulaniemi told the YLE public broadcaster.
"It might reveal some kind of motive, in his words, for this terrible act," he added.
The massacre at the vocational college in Kauhajoki in south-western Finland is the country's deadliest school shooting and the second in under a year.
Second-year culinary arts student Matti Juhani Saari, 22, stalked the school corridors on Tuesday morning (local time) in a ski mask and black outfit before letting off round after round at helpless students trapped inside a classroom, witnesses and police say.
He then set several fires around the building before shooting himself in the head. He later died of his injuries at a local hospital.
