Five months after a suicide bomb attacked Marriott Hotel in Pakistani capital Islamabad , there is initial report about a fire breaking out in the Marriott hotel in the Pakistani capital. More details are awaited.
"We got a phone call that there's fire in two storeys of the hotel. We alerted the fire brigades and they have sent fire engines," said police official Zahid Jan. The cause was not known, he said.
A receptionist at the hotel said he could see smoke but declined further comment.
The hotel reopened in late December, just over three months after the Sept 20 bomb attack blamed on Islamist terrorists.

According to a television news channel three stories are on fire. the fire broke out in an area which was under construction. the hotel has been completely evacuated. no casualties so far but six persons are reported to be injured. firefighters are trying to extinguish the fire right now.

Good to know that it is under control and probably accidental.

I spoke to the hotel yesterday very shortly after the news hit the wires, they told me they didn't think it was started deliberately. As I understand there was some building work going on at the time.
