Firing general McChrystal
was a mistake. Still it is
good that president Obama
is willing to appoint the
general to this important
position. I wish him well.

Ten months after he was fired for criticizing President Barack Obama's war cabinet, former Afghan war commander Stanley McChrystal will lead a White House effort to help military families.
Retired general McChrystal will head a three-person advisory board designed to highlight stresses faced by active duty military families when one member is deployed in combat zones overseas.

I have been a military wife,a soildier, and I'm a mother of a soildier who is a ranger. he left yesterday the21st of april to afganastan.I beleive its very hard to understand the life unless you are close to some one serving its sad my son was leaving and my family didnt call they act as if he's going on a retreat.I know the honor the pain and the fear as all three. I feel as though people are so numb to our soldiers out there my goodness here in denver we ask do give military discount and they look at us like we said a bad word.my husband suffers a sever mental illness due to military service and its so hard to get medical treatment.even for myself  I suffer sever pain and they ignore me and tell me to deal with it.I just wish they would do as they promised help us.I pray my son will come home safe.and he will be respected and treated like a hero that he is.I hope in the future we will be treated with more respect. my husband and i are both 100% disabled and I feel the people on welfare get better medical.
