Atta (flour) crisis is again in the making in Pakistan as the government has reduced wheat quota of flourmills at the rate of Rs450 per 40kg from 27.5 bags to 22 bags per day, while the Special Ramadan Package will also conclude immediately after Eidul Fitr, sources here say.

“The price of a 20kg bag of flour will increase from Rs300 to Rs400 immediately after Eidul Fitr as the government is set to fix the minimum wheat procurement price for new crop at Rs800 per 40kg,” an official disclosed requesting anonymity.
