Foreclosure Fears and Staying Way from Predatory Foreclosure Rescue Operations

Initially, the agreement seems to be the perfect solution. Homeowners get to avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes as tenants. But since some of these homeowners fail to address their financial difficulties, they were unable to keep their end of the agreement. The terms of the rent and buy back agreement were also designed to make it hard for the homeowners to buy back the property. As a result, the foreclosure rescue company kicks them out of their home after some time.

Most of these distressed homeowners do not realize what they were getting into and were simply focused on stopping foreclosure. For this reason, foreclosure rescue companies take advantage of their desperation. An example of this is requiring the homeowner to agree to the rent and buyback agreement wherein the property can only be sold back at a profit of at least 50 percent.

Obviously, such condition is unscrupulous and predatory.

A Utah homeowner is now fighting with a foreclosure company in court. Ron Chavez is actually just one of the many Utahns who are facing the same problem especially after the proliferation of companies offering foreclosure rescue assistance.

Of course, there are still foreclosure rescue companies who are recognized by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Officials of the said department are warning homeowners to stay away from foreclosure rescue services that seem too good to be true.

It is also important that troubled borrowers understand their options and do not simply choose to turn to these foreclosure rescue companies for the wrong reasons. It is always better to weigh all advantages and disadvantages in order to make an informed decision.
