Peshawar, N.W.F.P: The provincial interior minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that behind the Peshawar bombing a foreign hand could be active and this kind of terrorist acts reflect the nature and the suspicions of the involvement of some external elements, who want to sabotage the peace and the atmosphere of tranquility inside Pakistan.

Yesterday’s car bombing in a very congested and populous area of the north western Pakistan, Peshawar, wherein some 35 people killed and more than 160 injured.

These days, most of the markets of the major cities of Pakistan are very busy because of the sacrificial Eid-ul-Kubra, and that was one of the busiest hours when the terrorists chose and targeted that area of the city.

According to initial reports, some 20 Kg of the explosive was used in the attack and they had also used Potassium Chloride in the explosives that caused a big fire and incinerated everything in that plastic market, at one point the whole market was burning like a heap of dry wood.

The real target of the attack was a Shia community center and mosque and the car was parked just opposite to that building, as a matter of fact, the terrorists tried to ignite the sectarian violence in the region and when we look back almost a decade back, the flares of the sectarian violence between Shiites and Sunnites caused many precious lives and destabilized the whole country.

Today when the rescue team again came to the spot, 9 more dead bodies were found in the debris, that were totally burnt, one woman along with a baby, who was sitting in the car at the time of the explosion.

Moreover, President, Prime minister, interior minister of Pakistan condemned the attack and expressed concerns on the killing of innocent people in this act of cowardice, the provincial interior minister spoke to the media that the links of this attack are in the border areas of Afghanistan and Indian intelligence agencies could be behind that but this is the initial stage of the investigation and we do not want to accuse someone without any proper evidence but soon the culprits will be brought to justice for the killing of innocent Pakistanis.
