As the world looks to see if the bailouts have worked and Obama and McCain look to unveil and talk up their fiscal plans it seems the big question is "has Joe Biden been botoxed?"

mushroom picking

i smooth out the creases

from dad's old map

Karen Bradley, a professor at the University of Maryland who studies politicians' body language, said: 'It's a little strange that nothing moves from his eyes on up.'

'He has clearly had Botox,' Barry Cohen, a plastic surgeon, told the Washington Post.

'The lines are gone on his forehead. There is no way make-up or surgery could do that.'

Erwin Gomez, a spa owner from Georgetown added: 'On the right and the left temple, you can see the lines, but he has no wrinkles in the forehead.'

Mr Gomez said he suspects the senator had a shot of Botox in his brow to disable his scowl muscle, a move that can also bring an unwanted heaviness to the eyelids.

I was asked for the use of my photos from Joe Biden's visit to New Hampshire yesterday for this article. I declined contributing to this.

Who cares if the man has had Botox? Will that make a difference if he is elected as Vice President?

This isn't news, this is rag sheet rubbish.

the news from my standpoint is that the press (Washington Post and others) in these times of financial crisis and in the lead up to an election find it newsworthy - here on NP we don't generally write the news but collate and curate it - I don't know who asked you for a picture for 'this' NP article or the UK daily Mail article but it wasn't me as this story was only highlighted and posted here a matter of a couple of hours ago - maybe it was the W Post?

Our politicians, their demeanour, their private / public lives, their foibles (like vanity) all make up the man or woman that puts themselves forward for election - if he has been botoxed - why? Should we ignore these things completely?

Oh and whatever- its funny!

I don't know anything about Botox but I took this photo a few weeks ago in Detroit, MI and I was very close to the stage and I could see his forehead wrinkles. *giggles* Love you, Joe!

thanks Mrs. JVD - yes and he is less wrinkly now - I reckon wrinkles added natural gravitas to his features - botox might be a wrong move as he isn't the most animated of fellows at the best of time - botox won't help!

LotusFlower, I like this story. It's good stuff.  It made me smile too.  It's too bad that appearances are often more important that substance.  Kind of balances out what so many women go thru.

And if he has, so what? At least he's not smoking whatever Bush has smoked that makes him think God talks to him

Cindy McCain looks like she's had work done too
