An updated list is available today as well.

The Fort Hood shooting victims were taken to the nearest hospitals capable of treating multiple massive trauma cases, and found themselves scrambling for blood donations. The list of Fort Hood shooting victims' names was not made public, but information is trickling out via other means. So far, we know that Michael Pearson was one of the people killed in the attack, according to his mother, Sheryll Pearson.

Some of the victims taken to hospital are Keara Bono and Amber Bahr, both of whom are badly injured but still alive.

Victims were sent as far away as Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, about 30 miles distant, since it is one of only a few Level 1 trauma centers in central Texas, so designated because it is capable of handling the most serious injuries. The hospital reported receiving 10 shooting victims from Fort Hood, and called for blood donations to keep up with the demands of treating all the wounded.
Sheryll Pearson tells the Chicago Tribune that she and her husband found out Thursday that their son, Pfc. Michael Pearson, was killed in the attack.
