Fourth of July celebrations will be taking place up and down the West Coast this year. Just about every major city will be hosting an event, including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Many residents of Los Angeles will make their 83rd Annual 4th of July Celebration at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The 2009 edition of the venerable celebration will feature plenty of drum corps and fireworks.

In San Diego, Legoland will host Red, White and Boom!, a family-oriented celebration that will feature popular children's band Jumpitz. There will also be old school lawn games and fireworks.

San Francisco and the Bay Area will have many July 4th events. Perhaps the biggest will be the fireworks at Fisherman's Wharf. There will also be a family festival held at The Cannery nearby. A parade and will be held in the town Sausalito just over the Golden Gate Bridge.

In Phoenix, the Children's Museum will invite people to get out of the July heat to build ice castles.

In Seattle, the biggest event will likely be the Chase Family 4th at Lake Union at Gas Works Park. The all-day event features a wide variety of family events such as kite making and face painting. At 10 pm, there will be a fireworks show.
