Politico’s Ben Smith is reporting that News Corp which owns Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and hundreds of other media outlets and publications, “gave $1 million dollars to Haley Barbour's Republican Governors Association, according to their most recent filings.”
But that doesn’t sound fair, corporations buying politicians, well, thanks to the Supreme Court ruling earlier this year, Corporations are now considered “People”.
In the case Citizens United v Federal Election Commission the right wing activist judges placed on the Supreme Court by former President Bush, voted 5-4 in the case and said federal restrictions on corporate spending in elections constituted a violation of free speech. Critics called it wrong to equate corporate "speech" with individual speech and said the ruling would allow special-interest money to flood election campaigns.
Democrats have criticized the contribution from Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
“For a media company — particularly one whose slogan is ‘fair and balanced’ — to be injecting themselves into the outcome of races is stunning,” said Nathan Daschle, executive director of the Democratic Governors Association, according to the Washington Post. “The people owning Fox News have made a decision that they want to see Democratic governors go down to defeat. It’s a jaw-dropping violation of the boundary between the media and corporate realm.”
Fox News which is the GOP’s personal propaganda channel, is not a real news organization, and they are neither Fair, nor Balanced. They create and promote protest rallies against the United States government, they promote only Republican candidates and now we see that they buy the politicians as well.
So if you thought that corporations already had to much sway over our politicians, this ruling which was criticized by President Obama in his State of the Union Address this past January, has opened the flood gates.

This guy, Murdoch, is a powerful jerk who is using his power to promote a propaganda machine for his brand of conservatism. He blatantly abuses the American system by buying politicians and his doing this so transparently may actually cause Congress and the Justice Department to rethink recent decisions saying that buying votes is acceptable. It is not.
There are "liberal" media too. While I enjoy the likes of MSNBC liberal commentators, I think we would be all better served if major news organizations would produce a neutral brand of journalism and clearly indicate the bias brands of commentary.
The biased commentary is pretty obvious, though it is hard to find objective news.
Murdoch false advertises fair and balanced.
