France 120 000, Paris alone 20 000 protesters

The movement "Juifs et Arabs pour la paix", "Jews and Arabs for peace" a special Paris peace action marched together to stop the massacre in Gaza. Paris

One of the biggest protests took place in Paris, where marchers demanded an end to the killing. Organisers said 20,000 people took part, watched by nearly four thousand police.

Security was stepped up after last weekend’s demonstration saw violent clashes and burned cars. More than 80 similar demonstrations took place in towns and cities across France, with protestors branding President Sarkozy and other world leaders criminals for not denouncing Israel’s actions.

Elsewhere in France, smaller crowds gathered for demonstrations in several cities. In Nice, on the Mediterranean Riviera, protesters smashed the windows of a McDonald's restaurant and threw stones at the seafront Ruhl casino.

"McDonald's because they're American, they're the paymasters," one marcher said. "And Ruhl because they're Jews," added another

Paris - Tens of thousands of people protested in Paris on Saturday Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip, with the organizers claiming 100,000 people at the demonstration.The demonstration was organized by the 'Collective for a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians,' an alliance of several lobby groups, trade unions and left-wing parties.

Thanks for the update on the recent demonstrations in France in support of the Palestinian. I just deeply concerned that Jewish businesses where attacked. Israel is not helping the Jews around the world with its recent actions. It has to be made clear that Judaism does not equal Israel and that Israel is not Judaism. Leaders around the World have to make public distinction of the two and the the Jewish communities around the World may have to distant them self openly from Israel. It is very worrying that Jewish businesses and Cemeteries have been attacked. One injustice can not be fixed by causing another injustice.

Paschen thanks for briding, I am concerned too, having friends, yes friends on both sides. But imagine you just have a walk beach side, fully packed police cars arriving, you don't know why, trouble ahead. The real pro "Israel military" support from a local radio station is not at all helping. I stay with my old opinion, farming economy first for peace. However Paris showed the way Jews and Arabs in one line for peace. This I consider human progress born in the crisis, more credible than american congress, with overwhelming majority not working Saturday.

Mettacara, if you are the real ID hello. Jewish people around the world have different international development states. The Israeli point is driven by following the book, unflexible to reality, born by religious fundamentalism. Int'l communities are different and integrate well in the country.

melbman...it's me to boring to answer to self declared superior race Fundamentalists. Many intelligent Business men around the world including Jewish intelligence, 12 different tribes, agree war has to stop in Gaza and it stopped now. But as in any country the stupid ones cry the most, because they are not sure.
