NP Rank:
France Votes Obama!
Americans at the voting center in Paris on Tuesday Feb. 12 were not the only enthusiasts for Obama. The French too have been captivated by the man who voted "no" as they did, to the war on Iraq. And though french fries still are being called freedom fries at the House of Representative cafeterias, the congressman who had requested the change, Walter Jones, has since turned against the war, stating the US went to war "with no justification."
Le Parisien and La Liberation are already painting the picture of a future Obama presidency and surprisingly right-wing politicians have casted their own vote for Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton.
From president of the Commission of Foreign Affairs Axel Poniatowski, ministers Dominique Bussereau and Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, to member of Parliament Claude Goasguen - all have voiced their enthusiasm to see Obama leading the United States of America into a new direction of world peace.
In a rare moment of agreement, spokesperson of the Sarkozy party UMP Yves Jego and former presidential candidate Segolene Royale, herself a contender to become the first female president of France (losing to Sarkozy), have both endorsed Obama, Segolene having done so early on and with great enthusiasm.
Maybe it takes an Obama to bring the the left and right French coalitions to an agreement in France - but will he bring french fries back to the cafeterias?
Voting results for Paris, France will be announced on Feb. 18.

while introducing Obama in Baltimore last Monday. "This is a movement
