"Francis"- A film by Eron Carruth
Film Shoot: Vancouver, B.C.
November 19th- 22nd, 2005
I attended and worked on a film shoot this week. In the coming weeks we will update and provide still frames, video clips, short interviews, and the general makings of a film shoot here in Vancouver, B.C.
We will introduce the cast and crew on Tuesday, and give exciting access into the making of this film. The shoot has taken place directly off of Commercial Drive. The Drive is located in Vancouver's East side, and is one of the cities most vibrant, and interesting neighborhoods. A large part of the cast and crew are made up of local east side artist's and film makers. The Director, Eron Carruth, is a film student at Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design. The film, entitled, Francis, is a Science/Fiction-Drama. The robot/puppet known as Francis, (which you will see in the stills and video) was built by Eron Carruth for this project. Francis is co-starring in his first feature role.
The footage provided will be broken up into 4 separate days. This footage will be covering different aspects of the film shoot.
The films screening is planned for May 16th at Emily Carr Art Institute.
We will provide additional information regarding up-coming fund raising events at Emily Carr as well as information regarding how you can help support filmmakers such as Eron.
We hope you enjoy this sneak peak. Lots more to come...
