Frank M. Lombard, associate director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke University, has been arrested for allegedly abusing his 5-year-old adopted son and offering him for sex over the internet.
Lombard was caught in a chat with a disguised officer, who engaged in conversation with Lombard on a tip from a "confidential source facing child pornography charges". The source told police they had witnessed a man who appeared to be Lombard sexually abusing the boy on the Internet.
As the officer reports, Lombard told him during their chat that he had performed "multiple sex acts" on the child, offering to let the officer do the same if he went to Lombard's home in Durham, North Carolina.
According to a transcript of the chat, reprinted in the complaint, Lombard allegedly told the officer that he had to hide the abuse from his partner and that he drugged the child with allergy medication.
At the time of Lombard being arrested, the North Carolina Department of Social Services removed the 5-year-old boy and one other child from the house.
Lombard has been placed on unpaid administrative leave, effective immediately, and faces federal child sexual abuse charges. He may be sentenced for up to 20 years if convicted.

I think I am going to be sick. He deserves a slow, painful death full of day after day torture. Forget the death penalty. He needs to be kept alive in a dark room and tortured day after day. I read on CNN that is "Partner" did not know about it. Partner is the the PC way of saying gay lover. Gay people should not be able to adopt children end of story. This should be a wake up call, but it won't be.

Your statistics are bad. Homosexuals are more than 11times more likely to molest children. Most perverts molest same sex children. Are they not gay and perverted? Many gays have this same horrific story, which is absolutely tragic.

This is mortifying. did anyone know the children are african american? There are so many selfish people( african american and otherwise) that wont adopt children in the system and they end up with predators like him. Americas people are so SELFISH we would rather so out and buy a million dolllar house than adopt a child or three and live in a half million dollar house. Apparently, then, two thirds of the gay community lets the other one third get away with it. I've been looking for gay responses to this tragedy on line for the last few days and can't find anything. Or responses from the African American community.
Of course, these communities will be waiting for the guilty verdict. THEN they'll respond.

Why hasn't the media publicized this heinous crime as they plaster other incidents across the screen constantly where the accused is black. Is it because the victim is a black child whom like the alleged molester is accused of saying "he was easy to get access to". This is a system that to readily ignores the well being of the poor.
