Activists Demand Release of Bradley manning at Obama Fundraiser

A fundraiser for President Barack Obama's reelection campaign was interrupted by protesters who demanded the release of Bradley Manning, the soldier associated with Wikileaks' "Collateral Murder" video. The hecklers chanted, "Free Bradley Manning".

The video is leaked onboard footage from a US helicopter in Iraq, which shows the crew deliberately firing on unarmed Iraqis, including a journalist. The video thrust Wikileaks into the international spotlight. The Pentagon was out for the blood of Wikileaks spokesman Julian Assange.

Bradley Manning, whose identity was made public by former hacker Adrian Lamo, was arrested and detained in Kuwait. He has since been moved to US soil, and human rights activists, as well as the UN, have protested his treatment while in custody. Bradley Manning is now being held at Leavenworth Penitentiary in Kansas.

The woman who started the protest was escorted out of the fundraiser by secret service, and Obama carried on with his speech as if nothing had happened.
