NP Rank:
FREE PIZZA DURING THE RECESSION!

Despite the recession, on March 17, 2009 promoters of Toscano pizza were handing out free pizza at Scott Road Skytrain station as commuters were passing by. You could either choose from a Grilled Vegetable pizza or a 5 Cheese pizza, either way, its a win win situation. Everyone is eligible for a free pizza as long as you walk past one of the promoters, they will offer you a Toscano pizza absolutely free of charge.
Toscano gourmet pizza is a McCain Foods Limited product and their website describes that the
" Toscano Gourmet Pizza is made using a rising dough of no less than 24 hours.
Allowing the dough to rise coupled with the use of wheat flour results in a superior crust.
This makes Italian pizza unique in this regard."
The Toscano Grilled Vegetable pizza consists of these vegetables: Yellow peppers, red peppers, eggplant, zucchini, red onions, broccoli and asparagus.
The Toscano 5 Cheese Pizza consists of these types of cheeses: Pecorino, mozzarella, edamer, asiago and grana.
The Toscano Classico (which I did not see them handing out) consists of: Mushrooms, pepperoni, red peppers, green peppers, red onions.
After I devoured my grilled vegetable pizza, I just had to get more. So my friends and I took the sky train back to Scott Road Skytrain station and managed to collect about 20 pizzas and had a fantastic pizza party back at SFU Surrey. Hope there is more free pizza coming at a local skytrain station near you!
