There were nearly a thousand people near the UN in New York this afternoon protesting the Chinese occupation of Tibet.

there were some very passionate speakers but it was pretty tame. a few men were sporting their protest best anarchist casual look - a laundered keffiyeh, a tibetan flag cape and most likely a RATH teeshirt underneath it all. sadly i didn't see one Che Guevara teeshirt in the crowd, although i did see numerous dali lama lookalikes. viva la revolucion!
