Free Will: The fight between Good and Evil

God is an  Awesome God, Whatever name you give the Creator. All the religions of the World have their own name they hang on the Creator. The one and only Creator of Heaven and Earth as we know it. I am a Christian and believe in The Holy Trinity, God, His son Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit. For this I am thankful. I am not a theologian with multiple Degrees in religion nor am I a Scholor of History. I do understand though that there is a battle being waged, The battle of Good and Evil. Those of Us that believe in Good, and Those who do not care, Evil.

The Lord works thru us, he does not control us. We All have the option of  being good, or to disregard and not care at all, About others, Our Planet, Or of the cicumstances that shall come after we have died.

God does not control the Weather, The Tides, The Seasons, Nor does God Control Good and Evil. God set in motion a series of events. One of which is this great planet we call home, Stars and Galaxies,  God created All that is living. Including Animals, Plants and Humans. He did this with a conception that All is good. Then he realized that man  had the ability to be Evil. He then sent fourth his son Jesus Christ. To teach us to be Good and to help with Our battle of Evil.

When God created us and gave us Free Will it changed the whole story. He knew that this battle would wage as long as Man lived.  Free Will changes everything, God did not want to control us like Robots. He provided us with the tools and materials to either Build up or Tear down, To Kill or to Love, To Follow the ways of Jesus or to be led Astray by our own FreWill..

God does not inflict pain and suffering on his children, People using their Free Will to commit those acts do so. God does not control every breathe of every man or woman, He allows us to Sow the seeds We choose (Free Will) . God judges, and Only God, will judge (All of us) when we come before him. He wil not stop a murderer from murdering, just like he Will not stop a thief from stealing, or an Adulterer from coveting, these things are the Tests that we must pass to enter his Kingdom. That is the fight between Good and Evil. It is within ourselves, Do you follow your Holy Spirit, Teach and practice Love as Jesus did. Or do you do as you wish with no regard to others. We are Free to commit Good and/or Evil until our day of judgement, Before Who ? Before God, and at that time your Free Will shall be taken into account, and how you have used it. For Good or for Evil.

Hi, A couple of points,

Firstly as you are a Christian I thought you would believe that God is all powerful as the Bible tells us, and theirfor is in control of everything, as what else does all powerful mean?

As God created the whole of everything, fashioned everything perfectly I would say that he is all powerful.

Secondly, the Angels are put in charge of cirtain areas of Gods creation, for example, weather.

Thirdly, as God created good and his creation is always balanced then you can say that God created evil aswell, as evil is the opposit of good. (the balance)

Fourthly, when God created us he Knew that their would be bad umong us as he knows everything of his creation and everything of what is to come, that is why he sent amoung us Prophets to give us revalation and lead us to the straight path.

And finally the reason for evil is as a test to the rest of human kind to assess us, to see what we do to help others, afterall he needs to see who deserves his paradise and who deserves his hell.

The battle for good and evil is not only within ourselves it is everywhere, afterall Satan did promise to lead astray as many of Gods creation as he could, the only way we can stop ourselves being led astray is to Pray to God to continue guiding us on the straight way.

We can stop ourselves from being led astray with Our God given right of Free Will. To educate yourself with the teachings of Jesus will guide your decisions toward Good. The Evil that exists is created by the Free Will of people who do not follow the teachings of Christ. We are Gods angels here on earth and we can only control what we do with Our Free Will, not the choices of others.

Salaam,

As a Muslim I believe that some things that are bad are going to happen, as it is all, good or bad the will of God that will determine my fate, we cannot stop everything.

We cant Stop everything, If a Drunk Driver wrecks into you, no you have no control, that is not God's Will, that is the Free Will of the Drunk driver that made the choice to Drink and then to Drive. We must concern ourselves with those things that we have a choice to decide and must exercise our Free will. To choose the Good or the Bad.

God does not choose the Good or Bad that happens in your life. He Knows what will happen. That is why he gave us the Gift of Free Will. You to have the ability to determine your fate. God does know your fate, but the choice to decide is in your hands, Free Will. God knows that if you follow the teachings of Christ, To Love and Accept,  the Holy Spirit will guide you in your decisions.

Salaam,

If the will of Allah is that you die in a car wreck then believe me you will, as he decides who will die of cancer, which children will die in the womb of the mother etc. However we all have our own opinions.

I am a follower of the teachings of Christ. I could only hope that he may return in my lifetime. My opinions are mine alone. They may not be biblical beliefs, or Facts. The Bible was written by Man and has been transcribed too many by Man to mention. I know that if I fight for good and profess to believe, that I too will be Judged by God and God alone. Expressing my opinions of faith and that I believe in Jesus, should not, I hope at least, hurt my standing with the Father, God, or whatever name you would like to use for Our Creator. In my eyes I am sparking debate and thought about Christ, God and Good. And yes I believe I was moved by The Holy Spirit to share them. Christ also said that we should testify. Until that day of reconning, NOBODY can say that what I believe is true or not.

Good people of varying faiths need to work together, that much is true.

Why do you believe in the trinity when it is not mentioned in the Bible.

I appreciate your opinion. I believe in the Teachings of Christ. I believe that He was sent here, by the Father, to help us understand the way to God (The Creator). And I can feel the spirit within in me (The Holy Spirit), that makes Three.  Having accepted Jesus as my Savior and believing there is a God, and letting my good conscience guide me, adds up to Three. Call it what you will.  Faith requires not knowing All. I found Jesus and God thru Faith not the Bible.
