                        Ingrid Betancourt is free

Friday, July 4, 2008 is when Ingrid Betancourt is free.
After 2321 days of captivity with the FARC, Ingrid was released by the Colombian army.
She quickly returned to France after 16:00 hours of waiting at the airbase of Velizy-Villacoublay (78) where Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the committee supports and many journalists waited for her.
Then she went to the Palais de l'Elysée to give a press conference. Finally she eventually reach the Hotel de Ville. After several hours of waiting, many "anonymous" finally saw Ingrid Betancourt. It was the scene of the day for the representative of freedom.

Nice photos. Do you want to consider adding it to our existing coverage here?

By the way, do you have a story to go with these photos?
